Discover Ka-Tip Thai Street Food

Ka-Tip Thai Street Food brings the bold flavors of Thailand right to Dallas, TX, offering an authentic street food experience that will transport your taste buds straight to the bustling markets of Bangkok. Located at 1011 S Pearl Expy #190, Dallas, TX 75201, this gem of a restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Thai dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients.

When you step into Ka-Tip Thai Street Food, you’re greeted with the rich, aromatic scents of Thailand. The interior reflects the street-food culture of Thailand, with vibrant colors and traditional decor that immediately set the tone for a flavorful culinary adventure. The menu is a true celebration of Thailand's diverse cuisine, offering everything from savory curries to spicy stir-fries, all designed to bring the authentic taste of Thai street food to the heart of Dallas.

One of the standout dishes is their famous Pad Thai. This signature dish is served with a generous portion of rice noodles, stir-fried with a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and sour flavors. The combination of tamarind, fish sauce, and lime creates an unforgettable taste, while the crispy peanuts add an extra layer of texture. Paired with shrimp, chicken, or tofu, it's a dish that's as satisfying as it is delicious.

For those looking for a bit of spice, the Spicy Basil Chicken (or pork) will not disappoint. This stir-fry is loaded with fresh Thai basil, garlic, and bird's eye chilies, making it a mouthwatering choice for spice lovers. The heat is perfectly balanced with a savory sauce that enhances the natural flavors of the protein.

The menu also features a variety of soups, including the ever-popular Tom Yum Goong. This hot and sour shrimp soup is packed with aromatic lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and galangal, creating a tangy broth that’s bursting with flavor. It’s the perfect dish to warm you up on a chilly day or to kickstart your meal with a vibrant burst of flavor.

If you’re in the mood for something a bit different, Ka-Tip Thai Street Food also offers Thai-style curry dishes like the Green Curry and Massaman Curry. The green curry is aromatic, creamy, and bursting with spices, while the Massaman curry is a rich and slightly sweet dish that combines tender meat, potatoes, and peanuts in a coconut milk base. These curries are not just flavorful but also offer a true taste of the comfort foods that Thailand is famous for.

Ka-Tip Thai Street Food doesn’t just stop at traditional Thai meals; they also offer refreshing Thai iced teas and fruit shakes to pair with your meal. The Thai iced tea is a creamy, sweet drink made with strong brewed tea and condensed milk, offering a satisfying balance to the heat from the spicy dishes. Meanwhile, the fruit shakes are made with fresh tropical fruits, providing a cool, refreshing contrast to the flavorful, spicy cuisine.

For those looking for vegetarian or vegan options, Ka-Tip Thai Street Food has got you covered. With a wide range of plant-based dishes, you can enjoy the same authentic flavors without compromising on taste. The Pad See Ew with tofu is a great vegan-friendly option that features stir-fried rice noodles with a rich soy-based sauce, and the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert is a delicious way to finish your meal on a sweet note.

  • I’m not a fan of Thai food. It’s usually a different curry with the same coconut base and everything ends up tasting the same. Tried this place on a recommendation and ended up loving it. Realized that I don’t like the made up Thai version or restaurants but authentic Thai food is amazing. Would recommend the sticky rice mango 10/10. Finished it before even taking any pictures.

  • Authentic Thai cuisine. High quality ingredients, very clean restaraunt. Could be a potential shout-out for the Michelin Guide moving forward.

  • Real Thai flavor! Compliments to the Chef! Why not Upgrade your service and presentation by using real and nice plates instead of paper disposable bowls/plates. Environmentally conscious especially in a farmers market.

  • Great variety of Thai street food. Had a fun time ordering a bunch of different items with friends and sharing generously. Loved the apps, entrées and drinks. Good parking. Quick ordering at the counter and service.

  • I think the food here is very spot on and I’m glad I got to try it before I left. I had the pork and shrimp dumplings and they were fairly good, had to add some spice to it from the side chili’s. The creamy coconut soup was on point, very nice and light while still being flavorful. The chicken was super moist as well, not dry. The pad Thai is a bit expensive but it is with good ingredients, it’s not tinged red or filled with sugar like some other Thai places. Definitely worth coming out to eat here, it’s very good and pretty authentic!

  • FOOD IG: @northtx.gemz WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: a hidden gem I found out through @eatwithalysa! A quick bite to have when walking around the Dallas Farmers Market. WHAT I ORDERED: • Tom Kha Gai (Chicken Coconut Soup) • Knom Jeeb (Pork & Shrimp Dumplings) PRICE: $21.11 + $3 tip THE VIBE: casual open seating. Very clean which is something I definitely account for because I know it’s a lot of effort to keep a restaurant clean. WOULD I COME BACK? Yes. •••• Overall Rating: 10/10 - Definitely a solid and delicious Thai food place that you can just pop in at any time and grab a quick bite. One of the first things I noticed is that the restaurant was very organized and tidy, including the restroom! - I’ve never had these two Thai dishes but wanted to try them and I was pleasantly surprised. The dumplings were scrumptious and I believe had water chestnuts so they had a slight crunch but the meat was the right amount of chewiness and the soy garlic sauce on the bottom of the dumplings was so flavorful. - The coconut soup was amazing!!!! Not sweet at all and the coconut flavor was very subtle. I asked for a side of rice it usually doesn’t come with it but honestly the soup would’ve been even better without the rice because it takes away from the depth of flavor. - I believe at this Thai restaurant you just adjust the spice level to your liking because there were 3 types of spice on each table you could add to your dishes. I decided to add some chili paste/oil and flakes to each of the dishes and it was perfect! - Both of these dishes were made really well and felt like a warm hug eating them. You can tell this place pays attention to their food!

  • Good counter service style Thai place. Concise menu with some fun APAC chip flavors available too. Lots of chicken dishes and vegan options. I enjoyed the pad ka prow and dumplings. Good, if slightly under seasoned. Tables have additional seasonings available tho. Want to come back for the seafood pancake.
